Within Sun Loan Company®, there are four training programs that are designed to help you increase your knowledge and ability at each stage of professional development in your career. They are: The Branch Training Program, Sun Loan Company® Training Centers, Cross-Training offices, and Targeted Workshops.

Following is an overview of Sun Loan Company® training:

Branch Training Program

This is first level of training for a new Sun Loan Company® employee. It is a comprehensive branch level curriculum that focuses on the core aspects of the consumer finance industry, taking a newly hired employee and making him/her proficient in all aspects of daily branch operations. The Branch Training Program consists of learner-controlled instruction (LCI) units that allow the employee to progress at their own pace. Units may take from a couple of hours to several weeks to complete, depending on the unit.

Sun Loan Company® Training Center

Located in San Antonio, TX this center provides both core and advanced training in Sun Loan Operations to employees at the level of Supervisor, Manager and Senior Assistant.

Cross-Training

The Cross-Training office focus is on the "nuts and bolts" of daily operations, such as taking applications, making collection calls, sales, credit decisions, and goal setting, depending on the trainee's previous knowledge and experience.

Workshops

We conduct workshops as an extension of our Branch Training Program. During our workshops, participants have the opportunity to learn best practices and reinforce their current knowledge of the loan industry. Participants network with employees from other offices to learn about their experiences and new ideas for handling daily activities.

If you are new to the consumer finance industry, the Sun Loan Company® Training Program will give you the knowledge and skills needed to perform your job responsibilities. If you have experience in the consumer finance industry this program will help you review some of the basics and will introduce you to the policies and procedures specific to Sun Loan Company®.
